The Sanctity of Life must be respected and the federal government is responsible for protecting the lives of all its citizens, especially for the pre-born.  As your representative, Congressman Sodrel has fought and will fight for the right to life.

Mike Sodrel’s Record:

• 100 percent voting record from National Right to Life Committee (www.nrlc.com)
• Mike co-sponsored the Right to Life Act declaring that a life begins at conception granting the pre-born the Constitutional right to live. (H.R. 552, co-sponsored by Mike Sodrel 5/2/06)
• Supported the Child Interstate Abortion Notification Act prohibiting the transportation of a minor to another State to perform an abortion. (H.R. 748, Roll Call #144, 4/27/05)
• Mike joined with other colleagues supporting an increase in the funding for abstinence education.    The final conference report included over $114 million for Community-Based Abstinence Education. (H.Rept. 109-337, Roll Call # 628, 12/14/2005)
• Against embryonic stem cell research and cosponsored a bill to create a national collection system for human cord blood stem cells to avoid using embryonic steam cells. (H.R. 2520, Roll Call #205, 5/24/05)
• Supported a complete ban of human cloning and the importation of cloned embryos.(H.R. 1357, co-sponsored by Mike Sodrel 9/7/05)
• Mike is a co-sponsor of the Unborn Child Pain Awareness Act, H.R. 356, to ensure that women seeking an abortion are fully informed regarding the pain experienced by their unborn child (H.R. 356, co-sponsored by Mike Sodrel, 5/18/05)
