Sodrel Addresses Americans For Tax Reform Meeting

(Jeffersonville, IN) - Congressional Candidate Mike Sodrel was in Washington, DC yesterday attending the Americans for Tax Reform Meeting. Sodrel, a signer of the taxpayer protection pledge, is also a big proponent of the Fair Tax.

“The people in my district know all too well that we need a fundamental change that would reduce the burden our government places on business owners and hard-working families in our country.  The Fair Tax is one such proposal that I championed in Congress and continue to support.
 
“The Fair Tax plan would level the playing field between American products and those produced offshore by eliminating taxes that prevent American companies from effectively competing in a world market.
 
“The current tax system encourages production in foreign countries, which has a negative effect on American jobs.
