Sixteen percent of Indiana residents work in the Agriculture industry, which makes
farming an important part of the lives of thousands of Hoosiers. As the Indiana 9th District Representative I recognize the role of agriculture in the Hoosier state as a crucial foundation for job growth and the continuation of strong family values.
I believe in the agriculture industry and will continue to work hard to help provide Indiana farmers with strong representation in Washington. My work as a member of the 109th Congress has strengthened the business environment for Indiana farmers.
Efforts to continue opening access to foreign markets, protecting private property rights, elimination of the "death tax", and reductions in unnecessary regulation have improved the business environment for Hoosier agriculture producers
